CHASSELL Thomas J. “Tom” Riedy, 65, a life-long resident of Chassell, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the Omega House in Houghton.
Tom was born on November 21, 1955, in Hancock, the son of Walter and Mary (Manderfield) Riedy. He was raised in Chassell and graduated from the Chassell Schools with the class of 1974. By then, Tom was well on his way to becoming a life-long self-employed auto mechanic and over time, became very well known in the Chassell area. Most people would remember Tom for his sense of humor, funny stories, happy smile and big appetite. Tom always gave far more than what he had, but that was just his way because he seemed to have a soft spot for people in need.
