Was killed today right in front of the main entrance to city hall. The 67yearold woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit by a cable car style tour bus. The vehicle then ran over her as she lay on the ground. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where sadly she later died. The mayor says the city recently approved installing a traffic light at the crosswalk because of Pedestrian Safety concerns. City hall is becoming more and more famous. A lot of people were coming in, and whether its a sightseeing bus or tourist bus, we didnt want that, we wanted to lessen the chances of colliding. It didnt happen fast enough. The victim was a longtime employee of the controllers office. A woman leading a sightseeing tour through San Franciscos chinatown gave tourists a lot more than they bargained for. To find them but it moved to auburn after two more deputies were shot. Authorities found the woman but the man escaped until just moments ago. Theyre not sure what started this violent shooting spree but hope to get answers very soon. As far as i know, none of our detectives have talked to the female yet. And i dont know at this point how involved she was in the initial shooting of Deputy Oliver. Deputy oliver was a 15year veteran. He is survived by a wife and two children.
