The National Youth Service Corps says it has paid an insurance cover cheque to the family of corps member, Juliana Oreoluwa Aina, who lost her life during a bus-train collision in Lagos State in March. This was announced in a release by Eddy Megwa, NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations on Wednesday. SaharaReporters had reported how several passengers, including Juliana were killed in March as a train and a BRT bus collided in the Ikeja area of Lagos.
The DG was accompanied by the Director, Special Duties, Alhaji Musa Abubakar; Director, Press and Public Relations Mr Eddy Megwa; Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services; Mr Ayodele Omotade; and the Kogi State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Mofoluwaso Williams.

The National Youth Service Corps says it has paid insurance benefits to the family of a corps member, Omale Victor EB/21A/1487, who went missing in 2021 during his service year in Ebonyi State. The Ebonyi State Police Command had in 2021 declared the 24-year-old serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) missing. Omale, who hails from Kogi State, was serving with the Ebonyi State Agency for Mass Literacy located along old Enugu/Abakaliki Road by Presbyterian Church Kpirikpiri, Abakaliki before he was reported missing.
