GULF SHORES, Ala.- The Tigers beach season came to an end Sunday evening in Gulf Shores when they fell to UCLA, 3-2. The match came down to the third set on Court 5 where LSU fell by the closest of margins, 15-13. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The third-ranked Florida State beach volleyball team (32-4) earned its fifth straight CCSA Title on Sunday afternoon with its second win over LSU (25-7) in two days, 3-2.
“I am super proud of our team,” said head coach Brooke Niles. “We knew LSU was going to come out strong and play use really tough. To come out like that and take every punch that was thrown at us and keep fighting on every court until the last point, I am really proud of them. To win the fifth straight conference title is unbelievable. We came here with a goal of winning and competing and we did a really good job of that this weekend.”
