right. olivia, you spent a lot of time covering some of the people in this orbit, including chris christie who was considered one of the more experienced governmental officials who had gotten involved. of course he is not in the white house at this juncture. do you have a sense from your reporting whether any of those people have access or have an ability to have influence at this juncture? it s unclear. you see people like chris christie, for instance, coming out in the new york times this week in a piece by glen thresh and maggie hibberman to criticize the trump administration. they re doing that to get through to president because they know one of the best ways to get through to him is on television or do it in the new york times or in a prominent magazine. so when you read quotes like that, it just seems like those people are trying to have influence in a different way because maybe the president is no longer returning their carroll, yeah, catherine, we ve heard that a lot.
