The Minister for Education has confirmed an additional floor will be added to the design of the Louth Meath Education Training Board s headquarters in Drogheda.
In a reply to local Fine Gael TD Fergus O Dowd, Norma Foley said the extra space would be needed to accommodate the numbers in the building and to adhere to Covid guidelines.
Minister Foley also said the later than expected delivery of the building the grounds of St. Oliver s Community College on the Rathmullen Road will be given the green light once remaining issues are resolved.
With a new year, comes a welcome new appointment for a local post primary school.
Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Trudy Rossiter as Deputy Principal at St Oliver s Community College, Drogheda. Trudy joins the other members of the Leadership and Management Team of the school, Mr John Halpin, Principal, Mr John Heeney, Deputy Principal and Mr Ian Gardiner, Deputy Principal.
As a Deputy Principal within the LMETB Schools Directorate, Trudy will also have the collegial support of the Senior Management teams in LMETB s other seventeen Post Primary schools, four Community National Schools, two PLC colleges and the Centre for European Schooling in Dunshaughlin.
