Columbus Children s Theatre releases first feature film for holidays

Theater officials made the pivot in the fall once it became clear that the company would be unable to safely stage its annual holiday show, Executive Director Susan Pringle said. “It’s something that a lot of families enjoy so we knew we had to mobilize, we knew we had to find another plan,” Pringle said. “It definitely required us as a staff to rely on skills we had but that weren’t utilized in our professional work.”  Available to purchase on DVD or to stream through Dec. 31 via an online portal, the hour-long film tells the story of a family who has been unable to find the Christmas spirit after enduring a difficult year. When Santa Claus appears to inform them that they are on the naughty list, the family must perform three good deeds before midnight with the help of Santa s elves.
