The Town of Olds Mayor says Premier Jason Kenney has taken a really pragmatic approach to the new measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Alberta.
Even though the measures are quite a bit more severe than the ones implemented two weeks ago, Michael Muzychka notes they still allow most businesses to operate and it is not a total shut down of the economy like the province experienced in the spring.
Town of Olds council elected to take a wait and see approach last month rather than implementing a mandatory mask bylaw. Mayor Muzyckha reacted to yesterday’s news that the Alberta government has now joined the rest of the province’s in Canada and implemented a province-wide mask mandate in indoor public spaces – including workplaces.
