Hoardings, trees on govt land uprooted KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: The Ministry of Public Works announced the maintenance engineering sector teams of the ministry carried out maintenance and brushing of asphalt on 133,848 square meters at 13 sites in various governorates between Feb 17 and Feb 23. In a press release, sources at the MPW indicated the asphalt brushing works in the internal road network during this week were carried out in Rawdah, Hitteen, Al Shaab, Al Qurain, Rumaithiya, Old Jahra, Suburb of Sabah Al-Salem, Egaila and Ardhiya, in addition to Abdullah Al-Hashemi Street, Makrad Al-Makrad Road and Road 210 between Al-Raqqa and Al-Egaila, using 507 machines and asphalt brush cars.

King Fahd Highway priority: PART KUWAIT CITY, Jan 3: The Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) continues the asphalt pavement works on several highways as per the seven maintenance contracts it signed earlier, in addition to other road works in compliance with the official directive to quickly repair and maintain roads throughout the country, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources. Sources revealed there are four contracts for maintenance works on King Fahd Road – contract numbers 418, 419, 420 and 421 – as this is one of the most vital highways that witnesses high traffic volume throughout the day, considering it serves densely populated residential areas. Sources said this road needs maintenance works and repair of damaged parts, especially the areas affected by heavy rains in November 2018.
