Police said the suspect they think is behind the situation is currently in custody at the Norfolk City Jail on warrants obtained earlier this week by ODU police.
Newport News police said they're responding to a TAC situation involving hazardous materials. It's happening in the 900 block of 12th Street, and nearby residents have been evacuated.
The Old Dominion Police Department says it has identified a person of interest in the Virginia Tech locker room theft at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Sept. 2.
