A 45-year-old Minden man was arrested Wednesday at the intersection of South Carson and Old Clear Creek Road in Carson City after fire department personnel found him passed out in the southbound lane of traffic. He faces misdemeanor charges of DUI and open container.
Carson City firefighters were called to the area of Old Clear Creek Road and Highway 50 Spooner Wednesday afternoon after a brush fire was touched off, possibly due to lightning strikes in the area. The fire was reported at around 1:30 p.m.
A 30 year-old man was arrested early Friday morning at 12:33 a.m. on multiple drug offenses, a Carson City Sheriff s deputy said, including two counts of felony heroin possession, one count of felony methamphetamine possession, and gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous prescription drug without a prescription.
A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and three misdemeanors, including a warrant out of Reno Township Court, expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff s deputy said.
Update 1:30 p.m.: Fire crews have contained a fire that broke out this morning near Old Clear Creek Road near the top of Spooner Summit, and Highway 50 has reopened. The fire was last reported to be about 1.5 acres in size, and there was one home in the area that was threatened.
