The mother-of-two who tragically fell to her death on Mother s Day from a scenic waterfall has been named as Cairns woman Milada Zak.
The 58-year-old was in the company of her children and one of their partners at Windin Falls near Cairns, Far North Queensland, at about 1pm on Sunday when it s believed she slipped and was knocked unconscious, before the rushing water washed her across the edge and down the 50m drop.
Her friend Zoe Nielsen posted a tribute to Ms Zak on Facebook which read: At home, a candle burning, staring into the void, in total disbelief. My heart is filled with so much sadness. so lost for words.

A Queensland woman who died after falling over 50 metres from the top of a popular local waterfall has been identified as 58-year-old Milada Zak.
9News understands Ms Zak had hiked for 90 minutes with her family along the Old Cairns Track on Sunday before reaching a natural infinity pool at the top of Windin Falls, before losing her footing.
Her body was found and retrieved by helicopter rescue crews late on Monday afternoon.

Sunday afternoon s tragedy was watched by horrified witnesses who told how the power of the water then threw her to her death.
Blake Thomas told the Daily Mail: She was in a pool, getting pushed back and forth.. the water was like rapids.

A woman has plunged to her death, falling more than 130 feet from the top of a remote waterfall on Sunday.
The 58-year-old reportedly slipped from the popular beauty spot in a remote hiking area in Far North Queensland, Australia.
The woman fell just before 1 p.m. on Sunday from the top of Windin Falls, about 40 miles south of Cairns, Queensland pOlice said in a statement issued later that evening.
After an extensive land and air search, her body was found by rescue helicopter crews around 4 p.m.
