A PARK in Bransford has been given a welcome makeover with a refurb finally being finished. Leigh Hurst Park in the village has been revamped after a number of years of effort following calls from residents for better play equipment. The project, started by Cllr Sarah Rouse, was completed by Cllr Alison Oliver using Section 106 money from a nearby development. Cllr Rouse’s efforts meant the development, at Old Bank Close, had a play area included in its planning permission as a requirement. Cllr Oliver said: “The Park at Leigh Hurst was looking tired and some of the equipment needed upgrading, so I was pleased to be able to offer my help with the project.
