The Divisional Police Officer at Igbon Police Station in the Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State, Ayodeji Adepoju, allegedly shot and injured a member of the Oyo State Security Network Agency known as Amotekun on Friday.
The DPO, it was learnt, ordered the arrest of two operatives of the Amotekun Corps for arresting herdsmen whose cattle were grazing on the farm in Gambari, allegedly destroying crops in the process.
The aggrieved farmer was said to have reported the case to Amotekun in the area and the herdsmen were arrested.
But some of the herdsmen were said to have reported the case to the DPO who ordered the arrest of the two Amotekun operatives, Jenyo and Olatunji Mayowa, who were investigating the case.

Tragedy has befallen a man, name withheld, who lost his life in the hands of a commercial sex worker in one of the hotels in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
DAILY POST gathered that the prostitute was enraged when her customer refused to pay her the agreed amount after going several rounds of sexual intercourse which prompted her to stab the man to death.
The victim lodged in the hotel after a late night with the lady and was found dead in the morning after several knocks at his room by the staff of the hotel.

A Divisional Police Officer identified as Ayodeji Adepoju has allegedly shot an operative of Oyo State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun.
The incident, DAILY POST gathered on Saturday occured at Igbon Police station in Ogbomoso geo-political zone of the state.
DAILY POST gathered from sources that the DPO at Igbon Police Division, Surulere Local Government Area, Mr. Adepoju reportedly shot an operative of Amotekun on Friday.
Our correspondent gathered that the DPO ordered the arrest of two Amotekun Corps for arresting herdsmen whose cattle were grazing on a farm in Gambari area, for destroying crops.
