The Supreme Court had directed app-based taxi aggregators to apply for a licence within the March 6 deadline in order to ply their trade in Maharashtra.
According to the data made available by the union, the application has 43,140 registered drivers and 3.9 lakh registered users so far. Rudramurthy, general secretary of ARDU, told Bangalore Mirror that the app cuts down the cost of a middleman and is mutually beneficial for both commuters and auto drivers.
