The Karnataka Transport Department has announced a new fare structure for city taxis and app-based aggregators like Uber and Ola. The revised fares, applicable across the state, will now be uniform for both categories. Cabs have been classified into three classes based on the vehicle cost, with different minimum fares and per km costs. Additionally, waiting charges will be applicable after the first five minutes, and toll charges can be collected by app-based aggregators.
