The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has asked the Nigerian government to immediately grant the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, access to quality medical services and subsequently release him unconditionally as ordered by the court. Ohanaeze Ndigbo expressed displeasure over Kanu’s continued detention by the Department of State Security (DSS), and raised concerns over the Nigerian government’s disobedience to court orders on the release and freedom of Kanu.
