South Korea suffered a tsunami outside the country for the first time in 31 years, with a maximum of 85 centimeters. A strong earthquake on the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, triggered a tsunami on the 2st, which reached the east coast of South Korea. The Japan Meteorological Agency determined that the 7.6 magnitude earthquake in Japan was not a foreshock but a mainshock. The tsunami caused no casualties and caused about 76 million won (about 4.220 million yuan) in property damage.
