The African Action Congress (AAC) has suspended the executive council of its Rivers State chapter over alleged anti-party activities and corruption. Ina Okopi Agu, the National Secretary of the AAC in a statement said the dissolution was with immediate effect. The development comes after the state Chairman of the party, Dr. Chukwunenye N. Kocha was listed among those when endorsed Sim Fubara, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party said the connivance by the electoral body with impostor to stage a fake, illegal and purported convention to hijack the party was in contravention of the party’s constitution and would not stand the test of time.
