Detained Isese Religion Practitioner, Tani Olohun Writes Apology Letter, Begs Muslims, Ilorin Sons And Daughters For Forgiveness

Adegbola Abdulazeez, an Isese (indigenous religion) practitioner and activist, also known as Tani Olohun has tendered an apology to Muslims, Islamic clerics and the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate for his actions. The letter of apology obtained by SaharaReporters was written on Tani Olohun’s behalf by one of his lawyers, Muftau Olufela Olobi.

Isese Practitioners Association Distances Self From Lawyer Who Wrote Apology Letter Begging Muslims On Tani Olohun s Behalf, Says He Had Been Sacked

An indigenous religion practitioners group identified as Isese Welfare Association has distanced itself from Mufutau Olufola Olobi, the lawyer who wrote an apology letter on behalf of their detained member, Abdul Azeez Adégbolá, aka Tani Ọlọhun. SaharaReporters earlier reported that Olobi had tendered an apology to Muslims, Islamic clerics and the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate for Tani Olohun’s actions.

How Kwara Court Refused Bail Application Of Remanded Indigenous Religion Practitioner, Tani Olohun

  A Chief Magistrate Court in Kwara State earlier on Tuesday refused the bail application filed by Adegbola Abdulazeez, an Isese (traditional religion) practitioner and activist, also known as Tani Olohun.   SaharaReporters earlier reported that the court denied Tani Olohun’s bail application because there was no assurance that his presence would be guaranteed after securing bail.     And so, the bail application was denied.

    Adedamola Solesi, a lawyer representing Adegbola Abdulazeez, a remanded Isese (indigenous religion) practitioner and activist, has said his client cannot get justice in Ilorin, Kwara State.   Mr Solesi, who said this on Tuesday after the hearing of his client’s bail application at the Kwara State Chief Magistrate Court, lamented that the manner by which trial judges and security operatives in the state had handled Tani Olohun’s case indicated that the judiciary and the police had been compromised.  

Nigerian Monarch Dedicates Isese Festival To Detained Tani Olorun, Other Traditional Religion Practitioners Persecuted For Their Faith

  The President General of the Worldwide Isese Agbaye Community Society of Nigeria and Légùşęn of Odè Ulé Kingdom of Legusenland, Oba Adedayo Adekoya has demanded the unconditional release of all detained traditional religion practitioners in Nigeria.   The monarch made this known in his speech during the celebration of the World Èrò Day festival on Wednesday.   The World Èrò Day festival is celebrated annually on September 6, using the 13-month lunar calendar.
