As part of the legislative special session, the Oklahoma Senate on July 24 voted 34-7 to override Gov. Kevin Stitt’s vetoes against the renewal of tobacco and vehicle registration compacts
The Senate mustered 34 of the 32 needed votes after a prior override effort failed in the Senate by one vote. The compacts relate to motor vehicle registration and tobacco.
