When riders exit at the fifth landing for the ferry service, operating since 2008, they can expect a short walk to get to restaurants like Cattleman s Steakhouse and McClintock Saloon and Chop House, or shops like Shorty s Caboy Hattery and Langston s Western Wear. Also in the district is the OKC Rattlesnake Museum and the Oklahoma National Stockyards, for which the district is named.

The new landing comes as the ferry opened service for the first time in a year this month, having paused due to the pandemic. The ferry will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until September.
