Neither a pandemic or economic downturn could stop yet another record-setting sales price being set for downtown apartments.
The Edge at Midtown, opened five years ago at a cost of $44 millon, sold Tuesday for $55 million to Washington-based Weidner Apartment Homes.
The sale by Gary Brooks amounts to $220,000 per unit, which breaks the previous record of $194,389 held by the Avana apartments, now known as Avaire Arts. Both downtown sales were brokered by Newmark Family.
Newmark first brought Weidner to the market in 2014 and has brokered its purchase of several high-profile properties in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Tuesday’s sale was brokered by Tim McKay,
