Homebound elderly patients, police next priority for COVID-19 vaccine
The committee met Monday afternoon to discuss how to move forward with vaccinations.
Department of Public Health and Social Services spokeswoman Janela Carrera said the committee, which met Monday afternoon, wants to continue focusing efforts on manamko who are 75 years and older, and start working to get the vaccine to those who are homebound.
On Tuesday, there was a long line of manamko waiting outside during the vaccination clinic at Okkodo High School, and Public Health expects the same on Wednesday, Carrera said.
Carrera said manamko who are coming to the vaccination clinic should bring water, snacks and an umbrella as they could be waiting for an hour or two outside to get into the school. Public Health will provide some snacks and water.
