LANSING – Voters in three area school districts on Tuesday approved bond or millage proposals that will provide millions for school improvements, security upgrades and athletic facility repairs, according to unofficial results.
A 30-year, $125-million bond proposal by Waverly Community Schools appears to have passed by a wide margin.
Meanwhile, a $148-million bond proposal by Holt Public Schools appears to have passed by 104 votes: 3,070 yes to 2,966 no, according to totals posted by election officials in Ingham and Eaton counties.
Voters in the Okemos School District approved both an 18-mill operating millage renewal and a proposal to expand the existing sinking fund to pay for technology and security improvements.
