At least 6,000 illicit and obsolete small arms and light weapons have been recovered and destroyed across Nigeria in efforts to stem the proliferation of small arms, the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), has said. It said the weapons were recovered between 2021 and 2023. The South-East zonal coordinator of NCCSALW, Gen.
