A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. Burial was held in Riverview Cemetery in Algona. The service was livestreamed on Oakcrest Funeral Services’ Facebook page. Visitation was held Monday, April 10 at Oakcrest Funeral Services from 10 to 11:00 a.m.
James (Jim) Vernell Gilson, age 84 from Trufant, Michigan, (formerly of Lake City) passed peacefully into heaven on January 20, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
