nearly a year after the deadly asiana airlines flight 214 crashed in san francisco, the national transportation safety board is expected to reveal the official cause of the accident tomorrow. federal investigators say inexperience in the cook pill contributed to the crash. but safety officials will also weigh whether the plane manufacturer, boeing, created a system too complicated for those pilots to understand. three people died, nearly 200 others were injured in that crash. let s bring in our cnn aviation and government regulation correspondent renee marsh to tell us more. good morning. reporter: good morning, carol. so the question is who or what was to blame for the crash of asiana flight 214? in just over 24 hours from now, the national transportation safety board will make its final decision on the probable cause. remember this deadly crash killed some three people, injured more than 200.
carol, of course everyone on board is going to be investigated thoroughly. i ve spent several days outside, both the pilot and co-pilot s homes trying to gather what information we can. i question the investigators as they left the co-pilot s home, taking away hard drives and computers and the pilot s home where that crucial flight simulator was. he was an aviation end thusafter. this was nothing suspicious. he was passionate about flying. that equipment, that hard drive, were send to the fbi in the usa, and they told cnn that there was no smoking gun in relation to any of that, so so far as far as our reporting is concerned, we don t know who the prime suspect and there is nothing that leads us to believe that the pilot or

in northern iraq. tara moeller, research fellow in the international security program at the america foundation, and david gergen, cnn s senior political analyst and former adviser to four u.s. presidents. welcome to all of you. thank you, carol. thank you. thank you for being here. so, tara, i ll start with you. secretary of state john kerry is expected to hold a news conference any moment now out of baghdad. he sat down with the prime minister earlier today. what do you suppose he said? well, i think what john kerry is trying to do is to engage with the iraqis, both sunni iraqi leadership and shia. he needs to put pressure on maliki to try to force maliki to unify the country. it is a sense of urgency that the country is feeling. without a unified government with maliki making overtures to the sunnis, he ll see his political days numbered as the jockeying for power continues in baghdad the next few days and weeks. david, the united states is in a strange place. nuri al mali
