Canadian driller group adopts new name, logo
After 72 years representing Canadian oil and gas drilling contractors, the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC) said May 27 it had adopted a new name, the Canadian Association of Energy Contractors (CAOEC).
The new name, CAOEC CEO Mark Scholz said, reflects the expanded mandate of its members and their leading role in the oil and gas, hydrogen, helium, geothermal and carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration (CCUS) sectors.
“Today, governments and industry leaders from across the country, and around the world, have issued a challenge: to make energy development cleaner and even more sustainable to meet ambitious climate targets,” Scholz said. “This goal is well within our grasp.
