Black lives matter demonstrators and other people were protesting outside the school around the time of ms. Devoss arrival. On the other end teachers and parents held a peaceful vigil to promote Public Education. They joined the president of the Washington Teachers Union to voice their concerns about devoss new role. We simply cannot be on the sideline allowing things to happen to our Public School system without voicing our concerns and raising our voice and resisting things that will be harmful to our kids.
