A subpanel of members of the West Virginia Senate Energy, Industry and Mining Committee will work with stakeholders on a bill targeting nonpayment of gas and oil royalties. The bill, Senate Bill 235, would set a penalty for nonpayment of royalties under oil and natural gas leases during production from conventional vertical wells.
