The office of Student Accessibility Services has awarded its 2020-2021 Accessibility Ally Awards to Gaby Castaneda Gleason and MaryKathyrine Tran for their dedication toward inclusion and success of students with disabilities.
Gaby Castaneda Gleason is an assistant professor of instruction in the Linguistics Department.

Ohio University is hosting several events in conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.
As part of the “SayHerName: Building Community to Support Women of Color at OHIO” initiative, Ohio University will host a discussion and letter writing campaign to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence who are incarcerated.
The event, which is organized by the Ohio University Women’s Center, will be held on Wednesday, April 21 from noon to 1 p.m. To participate, register online at least two days prior to the event.

Ohio University is hosting a series of free virtual events in honor of Women’s History Month 2021.
The programs and activities can be viewed on the 2021 Women’s History Month website, as well as in the Calendar of University Events.
“During this year’s Women’s History Month, we are thrilled to celebrate the many contributions of women to our history, culture and democracy,” said Dr. Gigi Secuban, vice president for diversity and inclusion. “At a time when our country is facing ongoing challenges related to public health, racism, sexism and rising xenophobia, it is all the more important to reflect on and learn from women’s leadership past, present and future. I am grateful to the Ohio University Women’s Center and campus partners for their tireless work putting together this year’s exciting calendar of events.”
