Genesis offering vaccinations for those 12 and older
ZANESVILLE - Genesis HealthCare System is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations for those ages 12 and older. Appointments are available the week of May 17.
Those ages 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Doses are given at the former Elder Beerman store location at the Colony Square Mall. To register, go to genesishcs.org/vaccine or call 740-297-8610.
Northside Pharmacies are offering walk-in clinics beginning May 17 for those 18 and older at locations in Zanesville, Cambridge, Roseville, Somerset, Maysville and New Concord. For more information, go to northsiderx.com/vaccines or genesishcs.org/vaccine.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Multiple members of the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District Board of Education were recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association’s Southeast Region recently for their service in the school system.
They were first recognized during the Southeast Region’s virtual Fall Conference on Sept. 24. Later three of the district’s board members were presented awards during the board’s December virtual meeting.
Michael A. Fador, vice president of the board, received two awards including the Master Board Member Award and the All-Ohio School Board Award for 2020. The Master Board Member Award is presented annually across the state to a select group of school board members. The award is part of the OSBA’s STAR Awards Program combining service, training, aptitude and recognition. It is a lifetime recognition and achievement.
Evans earns Veteran School Board Member recognition
Denny Evans was recently recognized for 30 years of service on the Southern Local Board of Education.

COLUMBUS Denny Evans, a board member for Southern Local Schools in Racine, was recently recognized by the Ohio School Boards Association’s Southeast Region.
Recognition took place during the Southeast Region’s virtual Fall Conference on Sept. 24. Evans was presented his award on Dec. 14 during the Board of Education’s December meeting.
The Veteran School Board Member Award recognizes school board members who have served 10, 15, 20 and 25 plus years on their local school boards. Evans was recognized for 30 years of service. The Southeast Region is comprised of 18 counties representing 84 school districts.
