A proposed constitutional amendment in 2015 would have granted “exclusive rights” for commercial marijuana growth, cultivation and extraction to 10 predetermined parcels of land. It was defeated 64% to 36%.
A group campaigning to legalize recreational marijuana in Ohio has submitted more than enough signatures to qualify a proposed ballot measure for the November election.
The proposed legislation would legalize and regulate the ”cultivation, manufacture, testing, and sale of marijuana and marijuana products” for people 21 and older. It would also allow Ohioans to grow marijuana plants in their own homes, with a limit of six plants per person and 12 per household.
