Alleys in Monroeville targeted
Brush Creek Township trustees invite the residents from the Monroeville area to attend the April 14 meeting. This will be the opportunity for questions and answers regarding the closing of several alleys in this area. Residents will be given the chance to voice their opinions and sign the petition for the county commissioners to complete the process. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the senior center.
Corn beef and cabbage for St. Pat’s
The East Palestine Eagles, 320 E. Taggart, are still taking orders for their St. Patrick’s Day Irish drive-thru dinner on Wednesday. Times are 4-6 p.m. or sold out. The dinner consists of corn beef, cabbage and potatoes, roll and dessert for $8 or a reuben sandwich and bag of chips for $7. To guarantee a dinner/meal, call 330-853-8483 as soon as possible.

LEETONIA Â Saturday was all about looms and reading for the East Ohio Handweavers Guild, which hosted its February meeting Saturday at Leetonia Public Library.
Members, which consist of weavers, spinners, dyers, basketmakers, felters, knitters and lacemakers, and their guests learned about the Viking Loom Saturday morning during their monthly meeting at the Leetonia Public Library.
Monica Hoprich, guild president, explained that was the guild’s third meeting at the library, which also had hosted their December and January sessions.
