CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Several million Americans are skipping their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and that could put their own protection from the virus at risk.
The 19 News Vaccine team found Ohio is doing much better than the national trends.
Pfizer and Moderna are both two-dose vaccines, and provide about 90% protection from the virus, according to recent studies.
But they offer better protection against Covid-19 when you’ve had two doses and are fully vaccinated.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - President Biden is expected to announce plans to buy 100 million more Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses.
This will add to a stockpile ensuring that the U.S. has more than enough COVID-19 vaccine for every adult, according to CNN.
White House officials said they will already have enough vaccine to inoculate every adult in the country by the end of May.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - In the next few weeks, you could have more money in your pocket thanks to the American Rescue Plan.
The House will take a procedural vote Tuesday before moving to the final passage of the plan, which is expected Wednesday.
The massive $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package could be signed by President Joe Biden by the end of the week.
Investigator Sara Goldenberg spoke to the White House to find out how this will affect Ohioans who need it the most.

This timeline will be updated as DeWine announces new groups of Ohioans who can receive the vaccine.
Jan. 11 â Registered health care providers undergo a webinar outlining expectations for their part in the vaccination process.
Jan. 12 â Health care providers learn if they will receive vaccine doses and, if so, how many.
Jan 13-14 â Local emergency management agencies hold press conferences informing the public where the vaccine will be available, who can receive it and how they should get their shot.
