Audrey Ruble Check, 94, Lewistown, passed away Feb. 26, 2021. Born in McVeytown, January 13, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Beulah (Rupert) Ruble.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Check, on Jan. 20, 2021. Audrey and Bill were married on June 25, 1949, and enjoyed 71 wonderful years together. She was also preceded in death by: a son, Robert B. Check; a brother, Russell Ruble; sisters, Leona Fink and Lorma Holsinger; and daughter-in-law, Ann Rose Check.
Audrey graduated from McVeytown-Oliver High School, earned a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University and had further studies at Penn State University.

LEWISTOWN The National Guard, as it is known for doing, has once again come to the rescue during a crisis this time for a local senior living community.
Ohesson Manor in Lewistown has been dealing with a recent outbreak of COVID-19 among its staff, leading to shortages in available personnel. With literally dozens of its employees forced to stay home because of a positive test or mandatory quarantine, Ohesson needed some help.
