The police presence on campus during our own encampment and subsequent protests and rallies paints a dimly-lit picture of police overreach and peaceful demonstrations turned sour, eerily reminiscent of the Vietnam War days.
Located at 246 Oakland Ave., the Plant2Plate garden provides a rare green space for students and residents alike. In 2021, the university promised the student-run community garden one more season before development on their new land would begin. Years later, members are still waiting.
About 50 students attended Carib Fete: A Carnival Fest in the O’Hara Student Center on Sunday. The event was hosted by the Caribbean Student Association in collaboration with the Latinx Student Association to celebrate Caribbean carnival culture.
