Inspire.,” Creative Week 2021 encompasses nearly 100 online events over five days, with sessions featuring top creative leaders, virtual visits inside some of the most successful agencies in the world, winners ceremonies for The One Show and historic ADC 100th Annual Awards and much more. Creative Week 2021 passes are available here. When registrants select South Africa as their location in the registration process, the price for an all-access pass to the full week of programming will automatically adjust to US$35 (approximately R494) for professionals, more than an 80% discount off the standard global price.

This week’s BIG move: Realness Institute and Netflix extend Episodic Lab entry deadline, and launch development executive traineeship   Realness Institute’s newest programme, Episodic Lab, created in partnership with Netflix, has received an overwhelmingly positive response from members of the industry online and offline. The deadline has thus been extended. Online submissions will now close upon receiving 150 additional applications or on the 8 February 2021, whichever comes first.   The Episodic Lab offers African writers from South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria the opportunity to nurture their concepts into the series format, receive feedback and pitch them with the possibility of further production with Netflix.  

#OSawards: Tseliso Rangaka, chief creative officer, FCB Joburg to judge Print & Out of Home

The One Club for Creativity recently revealed seven creatives from South Africa who will serve as judges for The One Show 2021. The judging panel is made of more than 250 top creatives from across 42 countries that will judge work from around the world. In 2020, FCB Joburg’s creative studio was boosted with the acquisition of top creative Tseliso Rangaka, who quit Ogilvy Cape Town after 13 years to become FCB’s chief creative officer.
