The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing Bend area man last seen on May 31st around 11:45 am. Jason Smith, age 36, was reported missing this morning. He was last believed to be at Ogden Wayside (High Bridge or Crooked River Gorge) north of Terrebonne after being dropped off by a ride share around 11:45 am yesterday morning. Smith is described as a white male, 6'2", weighing approximately 210 pounds, with medium length brown hair. He was believed to be wearing a green Henley style shirt, possibly a green and blue plaid jacket with a white wool collar, black jeans and black shoes. A recent photo of Smith and a photo of a similar jacket are attached to this press release. Anyone with information or that may have seen Smith is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 541-693-6911

TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) – An investigation of a Bend man accused of selling drugs in Deschutes County led to a traffic stop near Terrebonne, the man’s arrest and seizure of drugs, cash and a loaded handgun, Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.
The Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit had been investigating the 38-year-old man for drug sales in the county. Detectives learned Thursday that he was returning to the county with possible drugs in his possession, Detective Sergeant Doug Sullivan said.
