GG Office / GG Arquitetura

© Raiana Medina The project was conceived so that the office has the look of a home, more precisely a loft with an industrial footprint, making clients feel welcomed at the first contact, free from the seriousness that a traditional office inspires. For this, some solutions were adopted in the new project: all the coverings have the texture of natural elements and cement, the fabric curtains make the environment more cozy and the presence of natural plants in all corners reinforce the feeling of home. With regard to the predominant color palette in the decoration, GG Arquitetura bet on woody tones and cement precisely to reinforce the idea of ​​the natural.

Former Pobre Diablo Cultural Factory / Daniel Moreno Flores

The house in which the intervention took place is approximately 70 years old, it is a patrimonial house that has been witness of the transformation that has happened in the neighborhood and in the city. In its space there have lived various generations, this is why in the walls there are remains of human events that have happened along time. In its beginnings it was a Moca coffee fabric (±1950), then a cultural fabric – Pobre Diablo and container (2000-2017), currently it is a knowledge fabric – Impaqto La Floresta – a coworking space, a gallery and a restaurant – Terra – (2019 – present). The project went through the space history, showing respect and emphasizing it, joining them like a palimpsest (manuscript that keeps the remains of previews writings)

Harlem Artist Studio / SO-IL

Our intervention involved the adaptation and transformation of the existing structure into a home, art studio, gallery, and social gathering space for Amer and her partner. © Naho Kubota Our intervention both responds to the heritage of the site and boldly signals itself as a singularly modern space for living culture and creativity.

NatureHumaine Offices / NatureHumaine

© Ronan Mezière This new space serves as a transition threshold before entering the workspace. The largely glazed entrance incorporates a few shelves used to display architectural models. At the back, the meeting room is concealed by a striated glass panel, creating a play of light and movement while preserving the privacy of its occupants.  © Ronan Mezière At the corner street, the south-facing window provides the opportunity to install a large glass floor supported on the existing beams, allowing light to pass through to the basement. It reveals a new intimate space, enveloped by the rough texture of the rubble foundation and exposed ceiling joists.

KB Building / HofmanDujardin + Schipper Bosch

A new framework of steel platforms is hung from the existing concrete structure. Vision and design complement each other in this co-creation of HofmanDujardin and Schipper Bosch, situated on the cleantech campus Industriepark Kleefse Waard in Arnhem, Netherlands. The plan builds upon existing qualities and combines extra floor space with a clear routing, transforming the KB building into a dynamic office space. © Matthijs van Roon In the former production hall, huge industrial boilers were placed on a heavily raised floor. After the removal of the boilers, the almost sacred beauty of the space was revealed. This light and spacious hall is in strong contrast with the ground floor and basement, which due to their concrete structure have a much heavier character.
