On Sunday, Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) commended six Tennessee law enforcement officials for their response to the Nashville explosion on Christmas Day. Officer Brenna Hosey, Officer James Luellen, Officer Michael Sipos, Officer Amanda Topping, Officer James Wells and Sergeant Timothy Miller were all recognized for evacuating people and saving lives before the explosion went off.
Fleischmann told FNC’s “Fox & Friends” that the members of the Nashville Metro Police Department “ought to be praised and lauded” both locally and nationally for their efforts to save lives on Christmas. He stressed that their work is why it is important to support law enforcement.

Minutes before an RV-turned-street-bomb blew up on a Nashville street, a police officer’s body camera was recording brave NPD officers evacuating the public and calmly preparing for an explosion.
The body camera worn on Christmas Day by Officer Michael Sipos shows approximately 13 minutes of footage, beginning with officers responding to the eerie “evacuate now” message coming from the RV and the suspected bomber, Anthony Quinn Warner.
The body cam footage, released Monday by the Nashville Police Dept., can be viewed here.

The motive for the Christmas morning blast remained elusive, and authorities said it may never be determined. The actions of the man responsible for the bombing in recent days and weeks suggest he never intended to survive the event that took his life and wounded three people.
