WELLSVILLE Village council on Tuesday agreed to contract with Dallis Dawson and Associates for professional engineering services for the existing Wellsville reservoir dam project.
Fiscal Officer Hoi Wah informed members during her report that the village had received the first quarter advance from property tax and it amounted to $18,000, lower than the normal $40,000 they are accustomed to. However, she said the village books are still in good shape with $313,000 in the general fund and $1.4 million overall.
Council members also questioned the lack of reports from some departments at monthly meetings, particularly zoning.
Wah said that the zoning department is generating revenue, stating that $3,000 has come in during the last six weeks from their activities. Council requested that President Pro-Tem Randy Allmon, who were serving in Mayor Nancy Murray’s absence, inquire with her about it.
