finally tonight, america strong. the little girl on the dance floor, and her surprise dance partner. at a major birthday party in houston, nearly everything was planned, except this moment. houston police officer sandy fernandez dancing with 5-year-old saoria. we started dancing, having fun. i can see her smile, i can see her eyes shine. it happened so quickly, so beautifully, to bring her a smile. reporter: saoria suffers from spina bifida. she is wheelchair bound. officer fernandez says he looked at her and she reminded him of his own daughter, and his sister, who is also in a wheelchair. there was a moment when my hand was about to just get loose off of her hand, she just reached over to the other hand, just grabbed me, she didn t want to let go. reporter: they danced for two songs.
