A semi-truck overturned and slammed into a power pole early Wednesday, closing the road leading to the commercial crossing at the U.S.-Mexico border in Otay Mesa.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 6:20 a.m. on La Media Road just north of Siempre Vive Road. The driver was not injured.
OnScene TV reported that the truck was hauling pecans.
The truck went off the road and damaged a power pole, said police Officer Dino Delimitros. San Diego Gas and Electric Co. was notified and utility workers were expected to arrive on site around 8 a.m. to begin making repairs, Delimitros said.

San Diego police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who ran into a pedestrian early Wednesday and then took off.
The victim was struck by the vehicle on University Avenue near Interstate 15 shortly after 5:30 a.m., said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
The woman who was struck by the car was conscious and breathing and suffered minor lacerations to one of her hands. She was taken to the hospital to be treated.
Police were looking for a silver car with front-end damage. It was last seen heading west on University, Delimitros said.
