Takoma Park Mayor: Officer Charged with Sexual Abuse of Minor Suspended
Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart took to Twitter to say that the Takoma Park police officer charged with sexual abuse of a minor has been suspended without pay, including the suspension of his police powers, pending the outcome of the investigation.
Corporal Eric Mueller, 42, is also charged with sex offender, which is a fourth-degree sexual offense, in connection with an incident involving a female juvenile that occurred between Nov. 20 and Nov. 22. Montgomery County Police previously confirmed that Mueller and the juvenile knew each other. Authorities confirmed that the sexual assault occurred inside the victim’s home.
