BRIDGEPORT A local man awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman in Milford was back in custody Wednesday after police said he forced his way into another woman’s home, ripped her baby from her arms and then wrapped a plastic bag around the woman’s face.
Christopher Frank, 33, of Cowles Street, was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and risk of injury to a child.
During Frank’s arraignment Wednesday afternoon, Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Nicholas Bove urged Superior Court Judge Tracy Lee Dayton to set a high bond.
