The organization Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo Friday announced in Buenos Aires the finding of the 133rd grandchild taken during the military dictatorship (1976-1983). He is a nephew of Mario Roberto Santucho, founding leader of the guerrilla organization PRT-ERP, whose mother Cristina Navajas was kidnapped in 1976.
On July 6, 19 former members of the Argentine Armed Forces accused of crimes of torture, kidnapping, homicide, as well as raids, aggravated robberies and aggravated sexual abuse against hundreds of detainees, most of them disappeared, were found guilty. Almost forty years after the end of the military dictatorship, the last major trial on these crimes took place.
Tens of thousands of Argentines march to the Plaza de Mayo on the 46th anniversary of the coup that installed the brutal 1976-1983 military dictatorship.
