Several Vancouver police officers have testified that a union representative told them not to make hand-written notes after the fatal confrontation that left Myles Gray dead.
Constable Joshua Wong testified that he deployed pepper spray and strikes using his hands, knees and baton as he and the other officers tried to handcuff Mr. Gray
An officer with the Vancouver Police Department testified on Thursday that a senior union representative told him not to take handwritten notes after the beating that left a man dead more than seven years ago.
The first police officer to make contact with Myles Gray the day he died is also the first to take the stand in the BC Coroner’s inquest into the then 33-year-old man’s death.
