Douglas Miller, part of the Bill Miller Bar-B-Q legacy, has submitted a proposal for 503 Urban Loop, a property he acquired in 2020 near UTSA s downtown campus. The San Antonio Business Journal was the first to report the news.  According to documents filed with the City of San Antonio s Historic and Design Review Commission on May 5, Miller and local architect Jonathan Card are proposing construction of an 8-story, residential development having approximately 200 units. Douglas Miller, who was described as heir apparent to the Bill Miller empire in a 2017 San Antonio Express-News article, also manages DPMiller Investments LLC, according to SABJ, which purchased the property in April 2020.
